Individual Mbira Lessons

 

Runya offers individual mbira instruction to children ages 8 and above. Younger children are requested to join the Musikgarten classes as it is in the child's best interests to begin in this way.

Mbira is applauded for the general qualities it holds.  These include relaxation, calmness and peacefulness to the human mind.  So why not come and join mbira lessons to relieve your mind?

The class lessons will be in three stages to all age groups.  Students are advised to bring their own mbira (nyunga nyunga) or purchase one from Runya (0776 131 411).

a) Singing mbira songs

b) Singing and playing with accompaniment of other African instruments
